FROM DAY TO NIGHT: GRUNGE.

t-shirt: sportsgirl
jumper: witchery
shorts: supre
necklace: sportsgirl
flip flops: factorie (old)
boots: myer (old)
nails: essie 'stylenomics'

A quick post to show you how I took my grungy look from day to night. When I think of grunge I think slouchy, baggy tops, loose fitting messed up bottoms and over sized, chunky everything. I paired this basic t-shirt with my slouchy shorts (and flip flops) for a simple daytime look. Now that the weather's starting to warm up it's tempting to leave the house arms and legs bare, but by the time my classes finish at seven it's cooler so I always try to add a layer or two before I leave the house. Before I left the house I added a rib knit dip hem jumper to keep me warm, and a paired it with these boots that I bought from Myer early last winter. They look great with almost everything and are really comfortable. The only thing than gripes me is that they have no grip on the bottom so are really slippery at times. I haven't really worn them that much this winter, but think I'll wear them more during spring as I really like they way they look with shorts and skirts. I'm really diggin' dark grungy nail colours at the moment and love this deep green from Essie's winter collection. I think that deeper shades of colours are a great way to get that grungy dark look without going totally dark and adds a bit of depth to any outfit.
