I
love Sportsgirl's print revolution. I picked up this lion print t-shirt
- the perfect piece to fuel my current grunge frenzy - yesterday, as
well as a printed silk tank top, and I can see myself going back for
another look soon. While I'm very much a basics block colours girl, I
couldn't resist this t-shirt when I saw it, and it has a wide boat cut
neckline which makes it a lot more flattering than most t-shirts. I'm
usually a size XXS, but bought this in a S as I prefer it to fit more
relaxed and it gives me the option of wearing it over a pair of
leggings, or alone as a dress on those sweltering summer days.
I
also picked up these shorts yesterday to replace a pair that I've been
loving so much that they're starting to wear thin. They're basically the
same style - a high waisted paperbag style - but they're split on each
of the sides of the legs, reminiscent of those 80's Adidas shorts. They
also have two deep pockets which is a massive bonus for me - pockets are
a rare thing on bottoms nowadays. I'm seriously considering going back
for another pair, perhaps in a coral or turquoise.
I
haven't done, and am not doing much today, apart from drinking as much
iced water as possible in attempt to stay cool. I was up early to go to a
presentation and popped into Rundle Mall for a look (okay, I bought a
new bikini and a dress, and a necklace, but that's it, I swear!) before I
met my housemate for sushi train. This afternoon will go pretty much
the same way most hot Australian afternoons go - I'll be snoozing.
I
must pop a line in here to remind you that I have a giveaway on at the
moment. I've popped together a mix of cult Australian beauty products to
create a beauty box a la Australia. The giveaway is open
internationally and if you don't have a blogger account you can still
enter by following via Twitter or Instagram - my handle for both is
@rebeccabrittle. You need to enter through the rafflecopter which you
can find
here.
