dress: pink stich
sandals: river island
I've had this dress lurking in my wardrobe for a little while now, but never wear it, as it never really feels right. You know that? I love the dress, the colour is feminine, yet not too girly for me, and the cutout detail turn a relatively boring dress into something with a little more edge. But it always sat at a really weird length - slightly above my knee. Making it not
quite short enough to be a mini dress, and not quite long enough to be a
midi dress, and just looking unflattering and frumpy. I popped it on yesterday (I was taken for a mani pedi as a special birthday treat) and it just felt right. And it also sat a little short - perhaps I've grown a few centimetres since last year? I also find that wearing it with these chunky River Island sandals takes the girly edge off too, and makes it grundgy and edgy, which is definitely more my style.
I love it! I just bought a dress in a similar colour and shape but yours looks all the more lovely with the cut outs x
ReplyDeleteI think the cut outs give it that extra something.

It's much easier to wear than lace, but still has that detailing.
