THE ONE WITH FRIZZY HAIR.

t-shirt: sportsgirl
shorts: supre
necklace: lovisa
flip flops: factorie

I got caught in the rain this morning (it does happen in Australia!) and it frizzed up my hair, but since I'm not doing much today (nothing, to be honest) I'm going with it.

And just a quick reminder that you can enter my giveaway to win a beauty box a la Australia, here.

THE ONE WITH AN OLD DRESS.

dress: minkpink
flip flops: factorie

I love this dress, and each year, when the mercury rises, I pull it out of my wardrobe and fall in love with it all over again. It's getting a bit tatty and faded, but I love it regardless.

THE ONE WITH NAILPOLISH.

t-shirt: sportsgirl
nail: models own belaric cool and ibiza mix

I know it's not much of an outfit, but I really want to keep this blog as honest as possible. I tend to wear baggy over sized t-shirts or loose fitting dresses in summer, a bikini and not much else, and often go barefoot especially when I'm not even leaving the house. Oh how glamorous.

I haven't worn nailpolish in ages, since I had my shellac manicure (it's true, once you shellac, you'll ever go back!) but I've been playing with my Models Own nailpolish this week. I love love love Ibiza Mix (I'm sure that you've heard this many times before) and am seriously addicted to it right now. I glitter bombed my nails with three coats of it (I instagrammed pictures @rebeccabrittle) and yesterday wore it over the top of belaric cool. Today I'm thinking of going red. Red red red.

I thought I'd sneak peek a couple of my favourite items from the box - look away if you'd prefer to keep it a surprise. The box includes both a tube of Urban Rituelle's soothing body balm in frangapani (which smells seriously amazing!) and A'Kin's revitalising eye night creme - two products that I love, and swear by myself.

THE ONE WHERE I WEAR A ONE PIECE.

swimsuit: mink pink
t-shirt: sportsgirl
necklace: sportsgirl
flip flops: factorie

Australia. Where it's totally acceptable to wear a bikini instead of underwear. It's gonna be 30+ all week this week (eeek!) and I plan on bumming around the house in my new swinsuit and not much else at all. After all, it is summer!

That last picture. It's kinda weird. I wanted to show off the print of the swimsuit and wasn't really sure how to without flashing myself too. Sorry.

THE ONE WHERE THERE ARE LOTS OF PICTURES.

I' sorry that this post is a bit picture heavy, but I'm diggin' these shorts at the moment and wanted to show they off in all of their glory.

THE ONE WHERE I LOOK PISSED OFF.

t-shirt: sportsgirl
pants: river island
shoes: ninewest
necklace: sportsgirl

I wasn't sure what necklace to wear with this printed t-shirt when I first wore it, but found this one in Sportgirl (as always!) and think it makes a great match. I didn't want to draw too much attention away from the print, but still wanted to wear a necklace as I felt weirdly naked, and as if the outfit was unfinished without one.

I'll make this post quick as I really want to go and sit outside and enjoy the cool breeze. Catchya.

FALCON.

top: sportsgirl
pants: river island
necklace: lovisa
shoes: ninewest

This tank is another piece from the Sportgirl print revolution which I have a massive clothing crush on right now. I was drawn to this ever so sheer rainbow print tank as soon as I saw it, which was on one of the posters in Sportgirl's window about a month ago. I - slightly impatiently - have been popping into Sportgirl every few days (I can't help myself sometimes) to check if it was in store yet and to my delight it arrived on Thursday and I snapped one right up. I think I actually did a happy dance. I just love the rainbow bird print and the lightness of the fabric. It's also a shorter length which I find much more flattering on myself. I wore it yesterday afternoon for work with my River Island disco pant dupes and old, new favourite necklace. I love the outfit, although it was a tad too hot for disco pants and I was certainly sweating it out.

I love summer evenings. Those nights where the temperature hovers around 25 degrees, it's balmy and still, and the holiday feeling is around. They're the best!

I HEART SPORTGIRL'S PRINT REVOLUTION.

t-shirt: sportsgirl
shorts: supre
shoes: ninewest
sunglasses: dotti

I love Sportsgirl's print revolution. I picked up this lion print t-shirt - the perfect piece to fuel my current grunge frenzy - yesterday, as well as a printed silk tank top, and I can see myself going back for another look soon. While I'm very much a basics block colours girl, I couldn't resist this t-shirt when I saw it, and it has a wide boat cut neckline which makes it a lot more flattering than most t-shirts. I'm usually a size XXS, but bought this in a S as I prefer it to fit more relaxed and it gives me the option of wearing it over a pair of leggings, or alone as a dress on those sweltering summer days.

I also picked up these shorts yesterday to replace a pair that I've been loving so much that they're starting to wear thin. They're basically the same style - a high waisted paperbag style - but they're split on each of the sides of the legs, reminiscent of those 80's Adidas shorts. They also have two deep pockets which is a massive bonus for me - pockets are a rare thing on bottoms nowadays. I'm seriously considering going back for another pair, perhaps in a coral or turquoise.

I haven't done, and am not doing much today, apart from drinking as much iced water as possible in attempt to stay cool. I was up early to go to a presentation and popped into Rundle Mall for a look (okay, I bought a new bikini and a dress, and a necklace, but that's it, I swear!) before I met my housemate for sushi train. This afternoon will go pretty much the same way most hot Australian afternoons go - I'll be snoozing.

I must pop a line in here to remind you that I have a giveaway on at the moment. I've popped together a mix of cult Australian beauty products to create a beauty box a la Australia. The giveaway is open internationally and if you don't have a blogger account you can still enter by following via Twitter or Instagram - my handle for both is @rebeccabrittle. You need to enter through the rafflecopter which you can find here.

GIVEAWAY: AUSTRALIAN BEAUTY BOX.

I'm proud to be an Australian, and as much as I complain about how hot it is, I love this country. Australia has some of the world's best beaches, wines, and brands. And what better way to share my favourite Australian brands than with the ultimate Australian beauty box? I've been collecting a variety of cult Australian products, locally made items, and too good to resist chocolates and have packaged them up a la beauty box, ready to share. A la beauty box means that until the winner receives the package, the contents will remain a mystery. But if you can't resist, you can have a sneak peek here. I've also instagramed (@rebeccabrittle) a few sneaky pictures.

Entry is easy. As long as you're a follower of this blog via gfc, or via Twitter or Instagram, you're good to go. If you really wanna be in the running you can tweet or instagram for a few extra entries. All of the details are in the rafflecopter below. This giveaway is open internationally, of course!

HOLIDAY GIRL.

dress: asos
boots: myer

I added this to cart and checked out in record time on ASOS last week. My fingers have never hit the keys that fast, and this dress was the reason. The loose t-shirt style is one that I love, and I was over the moon to stumble upon this one on ASOS. Okay, so it's not quite stumbling when you scour ASOS daily for new arrivals, but the point is that I fell in love with it and it was waiting on my doorstep when I got home from my last exam yesterday.

I paired it with my military boots today, which are not only super comfortable, but give the dress that perfect grunge tweak that I love.

THE LAST EXAM.

 jacket: dotti
t-shirt: sportsgirl
pants: river island
shoes: ninewest

This is what I wore to my last university exam. Ever. My boyfriend has taken to calling me 'degree girl' as I'm now the proud holder of a bachelors degree. The feeling of elation is insane right now, there are no words to describe it. I feel strong, motivated, and like I have boundless energy. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I can't wait to take it on.

TOO HOT FOR PANTS.

t-shirt: sportsgirl
necklace: sportsgirl
flip flops: factorie

It was seriously too hot for pants today, so I went sans pants, and threw on this t-shirt dress instead. It looks really yellow in the pictures, but in real life it's more lime green than yellow. The perfect t-shirt dress to go with a pineapple splice!
