skirt: general pants
Today I'm wearing a mixture of a few pieces I've been loving over the past few week. I have to admit that I bought this skater skirt because the style was hyped. I'm not much of a skirt girl, and when I first wore it I just felt really awkward and schoolgirlish. But, as soon as I figure out how it suited me and wore it a few times (here and here) differently I really fell in love with it. It's one of the most flattering pieces of clothing that I've ever bought - even more flattering than my AA disco pants.
Military boots are the boots (along side chelsea boots and cut out boots) for S/S and I saved myself a chunk of money by pulling mine from a few winters ago out of the wardrobe. They've got a slight heel which I love as it makes them super comfortable and gives me a tiny bit more of height, and even though the boots come high up my calf, I don't feel like they make me look short. I pinched the scarf from my bf's wardrobe when it was chilly last week purely because it was cold and I needed a scarf (where has mine got to?) but it now has a permanent place in my wardrobe (which is kinda the same wardrobe). I love the greyscale take on tartan, and as an anti-red girl, I find it much easier to wear the trend in these muted shades.
